Dear Parents/Carers,

I have great pleasure in presenting our school website. The information contained in this website is intended to give you a broad outline of what Douglas Valley Nursery School has to offer.

Our last Ofsted report received in May 2018 judged our provision to be outstanding. It highlights that children are happy here, have excellent attitudes and their ‘sheer joy in learning’ shines through.

The development of personal, social and emotional skills and the characteristics of effective learning underpins all of our provision as we strongly believe that unless children of any age are happy, secure and trust the adults who are working with them they will not learn to the best of their ability. We aim to make learning fun and encourage children to become independent, make choices and become confident self-motivated learners.

We regard parents/carers as vital partners in the care and educational provision we provide. We look forward to working closely with you for the benefit of your child and hope you will support our school commitment to continual improvement.
