School Update for Parents/Carers

Update for parents/carers

I hope you and your children are keeping safe and well.

Thank you for your continued support during the partial closure of our school.

It has been a difficult time for all, and I know the staff have missed working with your children. Following the announcement from the Prime Minister around the possible reopening of schools, if the 5 tests the government have set to ease lockdown are met, we are currently considering how we could increase the number of children attending nursery from week beginning 1st June.

It is still important that we keep our families and staff safe during the COVID 19 pandemic, therefore, we will be starting with a phased approach to welcoming more children back into school. We will be offering limited places and will target our vulnerable families and critical workers at first.

As you can imagine it is an impossible task to ask young children to adhere to social distancing but we can reassure you that our children will stay in small groups and the learning environments will be regularly cleaned. We are also considering staggered start and finish times and how to maintain social distancing outside school.

If you are returning to work as a critical worker or you have any queries, please contact the school office.

Please check our website and Facebook site for regular updates as we get further information from the government and the Local Authority.
